The European Institute of Golf Course Architects have recognised The R&A for services to the development of golf.

Next week, The R&A's Greenkeeping Scholars return to South Uist in the Outer Hebrides for an educational visit.

Little Aston, Luffenham Heath, Northumberland, Remedy Oak and The Island golf clubs will form part of 14 venues in 2013.

The British Golf Museum opened its doors for free on Saturday 27 February, to kick start a year of celebrations.
