Golf Society bookings are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at tee off times between 9am and 11.30am then 1pm to 3.30pm. Contact Carol for booking a visiting party on 0114 288 8469.
NOTES FOR THE GUIDANCE OF VISITORS
It is the responsibility of the Party Organiser to ensure that the following rules are observed at all times by all those taking part within the Group.
1. GENERAL
(a) Tee off times and places Visiting groups may only play the course at permitted times, pre-booked through the Secretary. These times, both morning and afternoon, must be strictly adhered to. The Professional has authority to ensure that tee times are observed. The 1st tee is reserved for Members every day between 11.30am and 1pm. Visitors must tee off from the yellow markers.
(b) Green fees must be paid to the Professional before play commences. The ‘Official Party Reservation Ticket’ from the bottom of your letter of confirmation should be handed to him at that time.
(c) Sharing a set of golf clubs is not allowed. Each player must have his/her own clubs and pitch mark repairer.
(d) Mobile phones are not allowed on the Course or in the Clubhouse.
2. THE COURSE
(a) All visitors must observe the dress rules of the Course. Shirts with collars must be worn. Vests, t-shirts, jeans, tracksuits and trainers are not allowed. Only tailored shorts with full-length socks or short white sports socks are permitted. Proper golf shoes must be worn. Changing dress in the car park is forbidden.
(b) Care of the course:
i. Divots must be replaced firmly in the same direction as they are taken out. Divot boxes are provided on most holes – please use the sand/soil mixture to repair divot marks.
ii. Pitch marks on the greens must be repaired.
iii. Bunkers must be smoothed over using the rakes provided.
iv. All trolley signs must be observed. Trolleys are not allowed on tees, the verges of the greens or the putting green.
v. Keep to the pathways and observe all signs on the course.vi. Place all litter in the bins provided.vii. Allow the green keepers to complete their work on the greens before continuing to play.
(c) The rules of Golf and Golf Etiquette must be observed at all times. Slow play must be avoided. Details of local rules are printed on the reverse of the scorecard.
Additionally you must comply with the following:
> Do not tee off on 7th until you hear the bell
> Ring Bell on right hand side of 7th fairway
> Do not tee off on 5th or 16th until the Ladies 6th and 17th tees are clear
> Do not tee off on the 1st or 14th until the 18th and 13th greens are clear
3. THE CLUBHOUSE
Coded locks secure the entrance doors. The Professional or Steward will be pleased to ensure your admittance. Smart, casual dress may be worn until 7.30 pm, thereafter jackets and ties must be worn in the Dining Room. The dress rules must be observed – NO jeans, vests, T-shirts, tracksuits, sweatshirts, shirts without collars or crew neck jumpers. Shoes must be worn at all times.
