WORTLEY GOLF CLUB DRESS CODE
PLEASE COULD ALL MEMBERS AND VISITORS READ THE FOLLOWING AND ABIDE BY THE DRESS CODE AT ALL TIMES.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL MEMBERS TO MAINTAIN AND REINFORCE THE DRESS CODE.
COURSE
Dress should be smart casual. Shirts should have a collar or roll neck and be worn inside the trousers or shorts. Jeans and cargo-type wear are not allowed. Shorts should be knee length and tailored. Socks should be knee length or short white sports type. Only proper golf shoes may be worn. Trainers are not allowed and are not safe on the course.
CLUBHOUSE AND CLUBHOUSE AREA
Smart casual wear may be worn throughout the Clubhouse and surrounding area at all times, except in the dining room after 7-30 p.m. when gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie. When dining on Sundays, smart casual wear, excluding golf wear, is permitted. Tracksuits, jeans and shirts without collars are NOT allowed. Socks must always be worn. Shoes must always be worn. Trainers are not allowed. No golf footwear or waterproofs worn on the course may be worn in the clubhouse except in the changing areas. The committee may change the dress code for specified social events.
LADIES’ DRESS CODE
On the course dress should be smart golf attire, shorts and skorts should be of reasonable length, tops should be collared or high necked, golf shoes must be worn (not trainers), NO blue/washed denim jeans, track suits, baggy tee shirts, or sweatshirts with large logos.
In the clubhouse smart casual wear is required around the clubhouse, NO blue/washed denim jeans, tracksuits, 'short' shorts, sweatshirts with large slogans or logos. Waterproof clothing, golf shoes or trainers are NOT allowed inside the lounge/bar/dining room.
MOBILE PHONES Are NOT allowed to be used in the clubhouse or on the course unless in a genuine medical emergency.
ANYONE NOT ADHERING TO THE ABOVE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURSE OR CLUBHOUSE.
