Our Course
Situated in an idyllic village setting nearby to Wortley Hall and just a short drive from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, and Sheffield city centre, what makes playing golf on this 125-year-old course so different is that there’s not a road nor rooftop skyline in sight. You are away from it all.
Wortley's undulating fairways ensure that golfers of any handicap will enjoy the course’s picturesque layout, especially surrounded by its dramatic woodland and free-roaming game.
We welcome the addition of our practice ground, which sits on the edge of the car park.
In the Pro Shop, our professional team, led by Richard Crawshaw, Steve Gromett, Rob Andrews, and Hugh Crawshaw, always has great deals on leading golf brands. We also have all the latest golf clothing essentials, excellent coaching facilities, club fitting, and trolley repair service.
In the Clubhouse, you will find a relaxed and friendly environment where everyone is made to feel welcome. Visitors and members can take advantage of our food and beverage menu, perfect for a meal or enjoying the 'banter' after 18 holes with friends.
Wortley Golf Club is located on Hermit Hill Lane, Sheffield S35 7DF, just two minutes from the village church. You are welcome to join us for a round soon.
